WHAT YOU WANT, A COOKIE?

poetry submission & financial aid request sent out today for another writer’s workshop.

back in the dizzay, i tried to make it a point to have a featured slot at least once a month and for almost three years that streak stayed alive. now that i am gathering more momentum in that direction again (check out the upcoming appearances) i think it’s time to go back to an older resolution and stay more focused on submitting work at least once a month.

but when it comes to submitting your work and getting yourself out there, whether it is thru publication and/or live performance; one must go back to the classic maxim presented to us by the modern-day prophet chris rock.

i’m on the bus listening in on a passenger talking to the bus driver (disclaimer: the passenger was in the middle of the bus and shouting over the engine roar to the driver so i technically was not eavesdropping) when this dropped…
